    About

I make paper cuts out of your pictures. Great for special occasions like

wedding anniversaries, birthdays, funerals, christmas and baby gifts.

    A little bit about me

I just love creating things.

That means I often try to make gifts myself.

Everything started with a paper cut I made for my parents for their wedding anniversary.

A lot of people liked it and asked if they could have one too.

Then someone suggested I should sell my paper cuts.

Here we are.

I do now sell them.

   My creative process

from photo to template anchor

First there is a photo.

After receiving the photo of your choice I start immediately to transform it into a paper cutting template.

All the colors have to go, so there are only black or white areas left.

If you like, I will alter the background or erase disturbing items.

There is also the possibility to add a name and/or date banner to the paper cut.

Your opinion matters!

I will not start cutting until you give me the OK to do so.

   Cutting

Once you are satisfied with how the template looks, I can start cutting.

This is also when my clock starts ticking.

From this moment on I have 1-2 weeks to get the paper cut done.

Precision and patience are the main key words now.

My standard turnaround time is 1-2 weeks.

If you need your paper cut faster, you can upgrade your order.

Fastest production time is 1-2 days.

To upgrade you can buy an add-on listing in my Etsy shop. It's called "RUSH ORDER".

Please be aware that this add-on only accelerates my production time.

For faster shipping you can choose express shipping when ordering the actual paper cut.

Estimated production and delivery times:

It depends what you ordered, but here's a quick overview:

ORDERS FROM NORTH- & SOUTH AMERICA, ASIA, AFRICA & OCEANIA:
Standard turnaround time + standard shipping time
1-2 weeks + 4-8 days
= 22 days

Rush order turnaround time + standard shipping time
1-2 days + 4-8 days
= 10 days

Rush order turnaround time + express shipping time
1-2 days + 3-4 days (2 days for N-America)
=6 days (4 days for N-America)

ORDERS FROM EUROPE:
Standard turnaround time + standard shipping time
1-2 weeks + 2-6 days
=20 days

Rush order turnaround time + standard shipping time
1-2 days + 2-6 days
=8 days

Rush order turnaround time + express shipping time
1-2 days + 2 days
=4 days

Packaging & shipping achor

    Packaging & SHIPPING

The paper cut comes in a clear plastic folder.
Then it is wrapped in silk paper.
One piece of cardboard on each side.
Then the package is wrapped in packaging paper.
I try to use as little plastic as possible.

I ship from Norway.

Standard shipping times (as stated on the norwegian post website):
Norway: 1-2 days
Europe: 2-6 days
World: 4-8 days

Since the paper cut is no longer in my hands after I sent it I cannot guarantee on time delivery if you have not ordered tracked and/or express shipping.

You can choose shipping methods once you put one of my products
into the shopping basket in my shop.

Tracking and express shipping are unfortunately very expensive in Norway.

I can't do much about that.

Please read my policies and the article description before you order!

Worried about toll since I ship from Norway?
My paper cuts are categorized under "art". That means no toll in most countries.

Once the paper cut has arrived you can frame it however you would like.

I do not offer framing due to far too high shipping costs.

I can of course help you to find the best framing option for your needs and budget.

Framing anchor

    Framing

You can frame your paper cut just like you want.

There are a variety of different ways to do so.

I wanted to showcase some methods I found to be quite beautiful.

1. USE the frame of your choice and buy an extra piece of glass at the framing shop.

No time to go to a framing shop? Then you could just buy two frames of the same type and use the glass of one frame as the backlayer. That's a fast solution although you end up with a frame without glass...

You can watch the video below to see how it's done!

2. How to create a stunning 3-d effect with or without a background

Would you like to create a beautiful 3 dimensional effect with your paper cut?

You just have to find a thick frame (for example IKEA RIBBA).

The frame should have a passepartout. That way you can hide the inside of the frame.

Now remove the cardboard so that you have the frame, glass and passepartout left.

Be sure to use a frame with those small metal flaps. Those flaps will keep the passepartout in place.

Now secure the paper cut with tape onto the passepartout.

Put an extra piece of glass or a see-through plastic sheet onto the paper cut.

If you want no background and the wall behind the paper cut to be seen, you are done!

Continue with the next step if you want a backdrop.

Find a thick piece of paper in the color of your choice that is as big as the frame. Cut it to the same size as the frame if needed.

Now pin it onto the backside of the frame. Make a small hole for the nail if needed.

You're done!

See the video below for a closer look on how to do it!
